The Hibbing Raceway has a long, storied history of being one of northern Minnesota's best dirt track facilities.
Along with that tradition, have come many of the region's very best drivers and racing legends.
To honor the legendary drivers and the Hibbing Raceway community's biggest supporters, the Hibbing Raceway has initiated a "Hibbing Raceway Hall of Fame."
Started in 2011, the inaugural inductees to the Hall of Fame, included the likes of Freddie Frand (the voice of the Hibbing Raceway), Kelly Lake native Bob Gherardi, and long-time motor architect Ernie Brotem.
In 2012, Don Aas, Mike Makich and Shaddy Holman were all inducted into the Hibbing Raceway Hall of Fame.
In 2013, Tom Nesbitt, Roger Carlson and Harry the "Horse Thief" were all inducted into the Hibbing Raceway Hall of Fame.
In 2014, John Gargano, Don Mohawk, Boris Andrican, Billy Nelson, Bob Reed and Johnny Johnson were all inducted into the HIbbing Raceway Hall of Fame.
in 2015, Jamie Johnson, Gordy Dahl, Gary Taylor and Carl Frand were all inducted into the Hibbing Raceway Hall of Fame.
